Just wanted to pass along that I ordered some 8 foot fiberglass tree stakes from Gemplers that I plan on making a shallow water anchor with. They are 1 inch by 8 feet and come in bundles of 5 for $77.50 plus shipping and tax. I just opened the box and so far I like what I see. They seem to be solid stakes, no splinters and are sharpened on one end. I'll hopefully get to try them out next week on my Rockport fishing trip. The 10 or 12 foot stakes from other places would have been preferred but the shipping on them is usually around $130.00
