Started here around midnight and lasted until about 0500. Rain gauge showed just under three inches. Lots of lightning and thunder. We need it, Stillhouse is still way low! banana

Lambert Switch got 2.31 inches, enough to fill Lake Weatherford. It was showing 8 inches low at 10:45 AM. Mineral Wells is a foot over. I have not checked, but Sunshine should be full too.

The crappie should be up in the creeks next week.

Tawakoni already up more than a foot, has a good chance of being full by the weekend

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

I am thankful for the 1/2 inch we got Monday AM. It rained under 6" here last year. Our little private lake stays pretty constant from springs and Lubbock stormwater drainage. Our main water supply, Lake Meredith is gone. Lake JB Thomas, where I caught a 3 pound crappie March of 2000, is down to 1% capacity. Lake Spence, down at Robert Lee, is gone @ .45% of capacity. We are in a world of hurt water wise. When we finish sucking the Ogalala dry we will move east I guess. I hope your rain is a sign of a mo better year for West Texas.

Awwww man! I'm sorry for ya' and didn't mean to rub it in...I pray for rain more than you know for all those that lie West of Ft. Worth...I have spent alot of time out there the last few years and I know how much y'all need it...these fronts and their "dry lines" will float y'alls way...I know it...it's all in God's hands...he does things for a reason and if it was good once...it will be good again.....

Its OK we are just jealous! It seems like you get too much at times and we cannot get a break. Opening gates to let water out is a dream here. The oil field is roaring but you cannot live w/o water.

Noonday is just up the road from my place, great onions, should
be ready real soon.
Nothing goes better with fried crappie than Noonday
onions, and some fried squash. smile
