well, My fishin buddy and I are headed up to Houston county next week for 5 days! Its long overdue been several months since i have even wet a line so im super ready... you know how it goes i had everything i needed but still managed to buy $200 more of junk i don’t need...lol anywho i was wonderin if anyone had fished the lake recently maybe PM one of us some tips, I have fished the lake a couple years ago from bank and caught a couple good bass, & my buddy fished it many years back in a bass club he was in so were kinda just going off instinct… TP&W has a fishing report listed but don’t know how accurate it really is… here is report they listed: HOUSTON COUNTY Water clear; 60–64 degrees; 0.73’ low. Black bass to 9 pounds are excellent on watermelon red Baby Brush Hogs near the dam and boat houses, and on some Rat–L–Traps and soft plastics. Crappie are good on minnows around docks and brush. Red ear bream are slow. Channel and blue catfish are very good on trotlines baited with chicken hearts and shad.
Our plan thus far is usuall stuff, flippin working plastics trying to find a pattten but any edge would be helpfull... thank you all!

Fished a club tourny this past weekend. The lake is very stained and about 20" low. We did very well on 1/2 oz shakey heads with a june bug zoom fork tail. The two biggest fish were a 9.6 and a 7.10. Most of the fish have already spawned out but you can still find a few nests.

I caught a 10.22 last week that still had eggs in her in 9 feet of water. Been catching a lot of fish flipping plastics. If they are there they hit it fast and hard. Buddy been catching quite a few on square bills also.
I can backlash toilet paper.
