I am convinced that east wind(fish the least)-(west the best)is a true statement,I figure barometric pressure has something to do with it, but not sure.
Just wanting some input, ideas, opinions, etc.

And what to do, to have success in an east wind day.
Thanks

You usually want the weather to be stable for several days to establish a pattern. The wind does not usually blow from the East for that long. That is usually why it is not good fishing.

I would fish the West side in this situation. I love fishing wind blown banks.

An east wind usually indicates the recent passage of a cool/cold front, thus H barometric pressure, and bait fish that lock down in deeper water.

An approaching front indicates L barometric pressure, and this impending change is felt by fish so they will oftentimes pick up the feeding pace in anticipation of the eventual passage of the L and subsequent return of H pressure.

Stable weather for several days puts the fish back into a more predictable feeding routine and are easier to pattern, no more see-saw barometric pressure changes.

Sometimes during the spawn, fish will lock onto getting their business done, and are a little less affected by subtle weather changes.

Combine the weather with lunar phases and everything gets even more confusing.

Just my .02

Fishmagnet,appreciate your .02(e/wind=front pass)-(bait lock down deep).

I`m gettin there!

I don`t know what I`m going to do when I don`t have the East Wind excuse.
Oh yeah, I`ll blame it on these new 7:1 high speed reals making me fish to fast.
