Hey guys, this weekend (Saturday, March 17) is our next club session. Sorry for the late notice, the best way to figure out when and where our events are going to be and to find updates is on the FB group. This session is going to be at White Rock Lake at the same place we did the last white rock fish in back in October. Like last time, this event will last from 7am to 7pm, that means you can show up before 7, just make sure to check in with me or Rick. Also, NO baiting or casting rods out until 7am, we want everyone to have the same chance as anyone else at catching. You can still set up and everything, just no putting bait out, marking depth, or casting until 7. Remember that all catches need to be reported to me or Rick for you to receive your points for the fish. I�ll have the scale so when a fish is caught, call me over and I�ll weigh it and document everything. If we end up having a bunch of people I might check some other people�s scales so I won�t have to walk so far.
Remember 1 point is awarded per ounce for Smallmouth Buffalo and Common Carp, and 2 points per ounce are awarded for Koi or Mirror Carp. The weight of a fish will be converted to ounces then either kept at that or multiplied by 2 for a koi/mirror then that is the angler�s score per fish. Total points will determine a winner for the event. We�ll have some side pots going like last time for big fish/small fish/big four/ whatever. Prizes are awarded at the end of the year for total points.

Provided the sky doesn't open up .......Carl, his son, and I will be there,( in search of Koi) Carl says he might even bring a friend who is a photographer to document my KOI, or if he catches one before I do, document me KILLING HIM ,,,,,,let the good times roll !

I'll be there and I'm bringing my younger brother and my wife. None of us have caught a single carp yet (I've been trying hard too!). Cannot wait for this. Hopefully it wont pour down on us. We will be coming from Tyler so it will probably be around 8 before we get there.

yea steve it sucks, been cooped up all week and now its the weekend and cant get out again. oh well, i will just have to make it up on the 24th.

* The last three times I tried to go fishing. It did not happen.

Was on the way to White Rock on the 30 and hit a dog, Engine temp maxed out so pulled over, fluid leaking all over the place.
