black / blue jig with a SHORT craw trailer! That;s all you need. Don't try to trick it up with all this other [censored] like Gitzits and baby turtle lures.
Just a black/blue jig with a SHORT craw trailer!

Hard to pick 1
Sometimes a bait will get a faster reaction then other baits, my first pick is a beaver style bait, second is the drop shot with a 4" worm

I like to throw a suspending or floating jerkbait some also. If you pull it in and just let it set above the nest they usually can't resist. I've especially had good luck with this when they will only pick your other baits up and move it them of the nest.

depends on the fish. fished a bedded fish for an hour and threw everything in the boat at her. she was definitely irritated by them, but not interested in moving any of them off the bed. dropped in a senko, and suddenly it disappeared. other times, the first thing i throw in gets hammered.

We love the Matt Lures U2 Series it works well for bedding bass. This was the male. Had the 6lb female hooked twice and the hook was very dull from the rocks. This was this morning by the way. ![](http://i1265.photobucket.com/albums/jj513/projecttackle/mattU2.jpg)
