I am thinking of trading a 30-30 that I value at $400 for:

two 320GTs spooled with berkley 30lb new, two 4/0 Senators old style bronze spools like new, 2 Penn Power Stick 7' boat rods new, 2 Allstar Gulfstream 7' boat rods new

the GT 320s are brand new one still has a box

the 4/0 are older style but he said he doesnt think theyve ever been wet and have late model power cranks

all the rods are brand new All Star still have the 79.95 price tags

What do you think? Equal value? Quality rods and reels?

I think that people usually get too caught up in trying to match equal dollar value when trading...

If you're not using that gun much, you want some new gear but dont want to use discretionary $$, then go for it.

Sounds to me like you're getting a fair trade and then some.

If I wanted more fishing tackle I would do it in a heartbeat!!! It sounds like a good deal to me unless that 30. 30 is a family heirloom handed down from you great Grandpappy!

I think its a good trade. Then again I am a Penn Guy.

I once traded a single shot shotgun for a Ford LTD my wife drove for 5 years. (sorry off topic).

All depends on what you want.... if you don't care for the gun and really want the fishing tackle, shouldn't be a hard decision.
