I am taking tomorrow off and taking the boy to Tawakoni. First time out this year. Sounds like it has been pretty good out there the last few weeks. Any advice or heads up before I head out? I need a report from Matt.

Be there early morning. Look for thousand of birds and 20 boats. Use sassy shads, bigger bait bigger fish time of year.

Check List for Twak: 1) 5" Sassy Shad Naanaa 1 A) 1.0oz Jig Head 2) Moe's Garlic Tail Dip 3) 4" SD Sassy Shad 4) KicksAS_ pair of binoculars 5) Water & Diet Milk 6) Ham Sandwiches and Chips Look for the birds. Last 2 weeks have found birds on Wolf, Cloud Point, Sun Point. Please do not run the BIG Motor in birds. Use the trolling motor. Saw 3-4 HammerHeads runN big motor in birds, STOP IT! For the Rocket Surgeon setting Jug Lines in the working Birds? STOP! U rollD up on me 10 feet away???? WHY?

"Use sassy shads, bigger bait bigger fish time of year"......thats what I was looking for. I have always heard a lot of good stuff about Moes Tackle for Tawakoni. He shows an address on his web site. Does anyone know if you can buy the tackle at his address or is it internet order and mail delivery only. I need some of his bigger baits.

Thanks SuperDuck. I just heard from Moe's and it looks like I am out of luck for tomorrow so I am headed to Bass Pro to stock up. I agree on the motor and birds. That's like blasting a radio while in the deer stand. Makes no sense.

I have been on this forum for years. Guess I should pay more attention to the names and handles.

I just got back from Holiday Marina Lure Delivery  Smitty had some very nice fish and saw a cool pic of Luv2 and son. Monsters! Fish Twak, it rocks! Very nice Luv2!

Just got a call from my brother earlier this afternoon from Tawakoni. My newphew caught the junior state record striper there today and it weighed 16.5lbs. They were with a guide, not sure who, but when he caught the fish the guide new right off the bat that it was a record and he told them they had to go. They loaded up and went to Lake Fork Marina and had it certified and everything else. I have a picture but not sure how to post it.
