How many of you guys are going to forego fishing this weekend, to stay home on mothers day ? This question is really directed more towards those of us that are married. What do you guys think, will this line sink or float, talking to your wife. "Honey my mother does not live here so I should not have to be here on mothers day"

I'm a MOM who will fish Sunday if she gets the opportunity. You might want to re-think your statement about your "Mom living elsewhere", or bring your own rope.

I am taking my wife(who is a mother) out striper fishing with the kids on Sunday after I call my mother and wish her a happy day. You just have to know how to ask the right question....

Mother's Day ought to be an especially busy one for married folks, what with mom, the wife (if she is a mom) as well as mother-in-law. I have all three so anticipate triple good time getting to fete them all as best as I can. If they wanna go fishing, we'll go fishing. If they wanna smell roses we'll go smell roses. My wife busts her butt 24/7/365 so I owe her - bigtime! Wrangling three boys is not an enviable task, 4, 12 and 17 years old. ------------------ RRhyne56, Flyfishing Warden rrhyne56@attbi.com Robins Custom Flies and Leaders

I got lucky, both of us had to work today (I don't know if you would call having to go to work,LUCKY )LOL. I took care of my mother and mother-in-law yesterday. I stopped by Home Depot and bought my wife a yellow rose bush,to replace the one I killed a couple years ago. So, hopefully I'm on the "Good Boy" list for awhile.

My mom wanted to fishing for mothers day but the lake we fish has had a bad golden algae bloom in it. IF IT WASNT FOR BAD LUCK,I WOULDNT HAVE ANY LUCK.

I must confess, I took Enjoy2's advice and kept my mouth shut, and stayed home with the family to celebrate mothers day.....
