Went to highview today, park ranger told me a 42 lb blue lake record was caught yesterday

That was the fish. No doubt. There was no one else fishing on the lake. I went to almost every park on Bardwell, and me and those two guys were the only ones that weren't fishing crappie off the Highview barge. No boats on the water at all.

Drifted bardwell yesterday (highwinds). Shrimp and crawlers. Started in 20 foot deep dropped 2 anchors still blew along too fast. Drifted towards love park to 8-10 foot. Small channels. While drifting I was casting a Gold rattletrap hooked a real nice hybrerd. Shrip worked from boat. a couple sittin on shore ( eastside of ramp)caught several nice channells using worms only.

Sandy from the marina said somebody weight in a 44# blue tuesday. I talked to the gentleman this morning said he caught it on rod and reel using live goldfish.He was leaving out again this morning
