So, it's spring break for me, I've been fishing with Palovic twice, TexasSteve, Chess101, Big Redneck, Johnny from the white bass forum, even one of my ex bass club kids from school as well as a few from the bank, phew, and FINALLY, I had an awesome fish catching day. I kept 9 white bass and one crappi
If you know of an old Dagger Bayou 2 tandem kayak I am interested.

e. I spent the day on Rowlett Creek and there was one spot I like to go to where I saw no one all day, and after catching two on a small mini strike king spinner bait on an ultra lite rod/reel,, I just so happened to bring a baitcaster with a lipless crankbait and at one spot I just started hammering them at around 1:30 or so. I was even having smaller crappie hitting it. Man was it fun. I thru back around 5 or so who were fat bellied females so they can take care of business. Now, that was the fish catching experience. The other experience was watching the mating habits of carp. I am going to assume they were the Buffaloes. I don't know much about them but they were literally everywhere next to shore making all kind of commotion and I mean that every 20 yards or so was another pair splashing around. Awesome. I didn't want to stop catching them it was so fun. When I returned to the ramp at roan and rowlett there were so many people not catching crappie. At least I didn't see it. When I walked my kayak back to my car, since I didn't want to disturb those who were fishing at where I put in, a man came up to me with his 2 year old and infant and asked me for a couple of fish, i obliged, naturally. What a great day. I have 8white bass in my freezer and I hope to go out again tomorrow. I dont expect to be so fortunate but it is just so fun. Now, if I can just figure out how to show my picture ....

Did you go north or south of the miller bridge? Last time I was out there banking it, I caught a 19" hybrid south of miller. I parked at miller and walked south until it open to a pool before the 1st fork in the creek.

I recognize. I was south. I came up from the mouth, the rowlett bridge.

I have never fished Rowlett Creek before, and I am looking for information on where you put in at? I have seen on the map an area off of Miller road past the bridge. Any other specifics concerning getting on the water there would help out. Thanks in advance.

At miller there is one real good put in which is on the northwest side of the bridge. There is a little brook that trickles into the creek and I usually put in right there and take out there although sometimes there r people there fishing so hopefully your diplomatic people skills can allow u an entrance or exit. If you go north from there which is where a lot of white bass and crappie r, beware all of the bank fishing going on. Literally after the train trestle there r bank fishermen every 20 yards during this time of year. Where I go, there is rarely anyone. That is why I like to go there. I went there yesterday and caught nothing in the area I caught them Wednesday. But I caught one on the way there and one on the way back. And where I put in, man, there were people lining the banks, when I returned, fishing for crappie.

Truedat. Went about 100 yards past 66 last week and thot, so many people, not worth it. All that area is bank fishing. Carey Thorn is the master there, and above firewheel.
