As posted last week (Here's last week post) that I received $150 from Jimmy Williams aka Skeeter175 for 120 SLABmesilly jigs, and as promised to Jimmy and to all, I donated 100% of the money to our Vietnam Vets Chapter #1013 in Grand Prairie.
I was supposed to meet up with them last Thursday, but my kids "Open House" at school didn't allow me to attend our Vets' meeting.
Tonite, I met Ray G. Bush (President of Chapter #1013) at one of our local Starbucks to take care of my promise...

I appologize to Mr. Jimmy Williams, the winner of 120 jigs, as Chase printed his name wrong on the check. However, since Chase knocked off the $8 fee to issue the check, I didn't want to push it. For the record, I have no idea who Johnny Williams is on the check...hehehe

And here is Mr. Bush with the check at Starbucks

I did what I could on behalf of our vets. Thanks to our TFFers, especially the Crappie Section, we donated a total of $305 to Chapter #1013. Rest assure, I will continue to do what I can with your help to never forget our Vets. Hopefully in the upcomming event(s) (funding of Vietnam Memorial Site in Austin Texas), I can count on many of our great hearted anglers in the Crappie Section to help me to say Thanks to our Vietnam Vets and all Vets!

Thanks Jimmy, and all my fellow anglers!

Im sure that money will be put to good use. Many veterans are un aware of the programs that are available to them, and suffer for years with mental , emotional and physical ailments that can be treated and dealt with. These service organizations do great things, and go out of thier way to help get veterans the help that they need, and have so greatly earned. Not only do we have our veterans from previous campaigns such as korea, vietnam, and desert storm, we now have a whole new generation of young soldiers who have been serving in iraq and afghanistan and other places, sometimes 5, 6, 7 deployments within the last 11 years. that kind of hardship takes its toll on anyone, no matter how hard you may be. We all need to do what we can to help these guys out,. good job!!!!!

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

SlabmeSilly, as a vet myself I want to thank you for your generousity and concern for vets. I am proud to know that we have such a great bunch of patriotic guys and gals on this, our website. Too many people have no idea what many of our vets go through when they are lucky enough to get back home in one piece.
I assure you it is greatly appreciated and I'd be proud to shake your hand if we ever meet in person.
Thanks to you and all that support vets.

Just want to thank Mr. Tran and his wonderful donations to our local Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #1013. To date he has donated $305 from the sale of his crappie jigs on-line. He sincerely appreciates the U.S. military and the impact they have had in his life. He has a beautiful family and is living the American dream. Thanks also to those who have bid on his jig packages. Your efforts will go to a good cause. If you'd like to know more about our chapter you may find us at www.vietnamvetsofgp.org Thanks again, C.V.

Thank you Ray! I am happy to be part of it...but it's obvious that I had plenty of help from other good people..

You guys and many other vets are the reason all of us are enjoying the freedom in everyday life....
