This can end my bitterness. I caught a 9.75 out there when I was 13 and didn't know there were junior records. I've told my dad on more than a few occasions that my name could've been on TPWD website if he'd of known to take it in.

Anyway, awesome fish! Someone else said it well: catching a fish bigger than your age is quite a feat!

Here's a quick update - they got the fish weighed on a certified scale and are submitting the paperwork. She officially ended up being 9.90# which is still the new record breaking the old record of 9.5. The fish was released back into the lake very alive and well to be caught again some day. Dannie said she literally tore off out of there when they released her. I'll let Dannie tell the rest of the story.
