Ok guys I need a Navionics card for my lcx-38. In saying that I have read some old post stating that the new cards or chips don't have the detail the pre-2008 cards have (road beds, humps etc. Someone said that navionics lost copy rights or something. My question is that do the 2011 maps have the same detail as the '06-08' cards or do?
Are 2012 maps out yet? If so are they good?
Do I need to find a old card?
Please explain

'06 might have been the best one they made. I don't have the Premium on the '06 and do the have the '09 Premium. The '06 shows creek channels better.

Yes, all the detail is available on the new cards now.

The new charts with updateable Freshest data has most of the data we had in 2008 and in some areas more. We have updated many lakes and are continuing to update more. Buying a new chart gives you free updates for one year from date of registration with Navionics. I assure you the maps are better now than ever.
