I buy the Delcos thru GM dealer ship. They order them from their suppliers. Just make sure that they are new and haven't been on the shelf to long.

Not in $100 dollar range but if your replacing batteries every couple of years that can get expensive. I have Odessey batteries on my trolling motor from '07 that are still going strong. They are about $350 but they have a 4 year full replacement warranty. These batteries are by far the best out there. I can fish in the wind two days straight without charging them and you would never know it. They are the 31-M 2150 model.

Won't last as long as grp 31's. Bigger batteries are cheaper in the long run.

Personally everstarts MAxx is in my opinion a smart move, if you travel tourney fishing and one goes out there is a Walmart within 30 miles of you no matter where you are located in the continental U.S. lol and 24 hour service in most of them, so you can go get you batterry warrantied at midnight if you have to

Don't know if these batteries are the best, but I have used them in the past and have 3 in my Gambler 2200 with a 109# MG without a problem. Fish all day and still have power, also have an onboard Stealth charging system to help out

I use Cabelas AGM batteries now but I had good luck with the AC Delco's in a previous boat.
I tried the Walmart batteries and they died before their time. Unless you like going to Walmart often and getting stranded on the water with dead batteries, I would not suggest Walmart batteries. I also never had good luck with the Interstate brand either.
Your question should be what is the best deep cycle battery in the $100 range, because the "best overall" deep cycle batteries will be WAY over that price range.

I just bought Cabelas AGMs and so far I love them. They make my trolling motor go hard all day and the starting battery is a lot stronger than most. They are on sale and not too much more than conventional batteries right now.

I have Trojan 31's. After a full day in the wind they still push my trolling motor like they did first thing in the morning.
