My son-in-law and I are planning on attending on the 14th. We both are new to kayak fishing welcome the opportunity to meet with others.
Is there a list or map showing local chapters in the state? He lives in The Colony and I live in Wichita Falls. If not this would be a very helpful tool for us new guys.

I'll be looking forward to meeting with you at the G2G pkw049. There isn't a organized North Texas Kayaker chapter as of yet per say. There are a couple of us currently working on that though.

There isn't any chapters but have people from both areas on this forum. We would love for you guys to come out and join us.

Is this a kid friendly event? My brother and his 12 year old son are thinking of coming out. They have yaks and like to fish.

like the man says...if you're swimming in the ocean and get bitten by a shark, its not a shark attack. You're in THEIR neighborhood. If you're at home in your shower, turn around and a shark is in there with you...THAT'S a shark attack

There will be adults there and adult beverages will descretely be consumed. But, this group is always very much under control. I would not be concerned about bringing a child to the event. In fact, Shaun will be there so they will have someone their age to play with. frkazoid

Heck yeah Paul messaged me before he even made a post on the forums and we where out on the water the next day. Looking forward to meeting your son in law and having you meet all the great guys that do a outstanding job of representing kayak fishing.

Jerry is absolutely correct. I enjoy spending time fishing with the young'uns. It would be great to see women and children at the event.

Oh and by the way Rev TCF would love to have the energy to keep up with a energy of a 12 year old but he's a little old now. smile Hi Jerry!
