Heading to Amistad Tuesday afternoon. Will be there with my family until Sunday. Can't wait. I need an updated fishing report. I'm hoping we hit it right and they'll be moved up after this cold front.

Here is what we did in our trip last week. If the weather warms and it gets nice you are going to absolutely kill them! Good Luck and Tight Lines. http://fishcatchingtravel.com/

Jerkbait covering water, wacky rigs and senkos after you find a wad.
Look for beds while covering water

Sounds like a post-spawn for the top-six tournament at the end of the month:(

Just returned and had a great time as well. Running back down the river last Thursday afternoon as the front came through was "exciting" to say the least. For us, soft plastics got the numbers but the cranks and swimbaits yielded the size. Now with that being said, the falling water does seem to have the fish in a bit of a funk. I think it dropped over 2 feet just in the time period we were there. Currently, the best activity seems to be between mile marker 10 and 24. Numbers were good on either side but size was best in Mexico. Also, don't give up on'em in the afternoon when the sun gets high and things slow down a bit, this seems precisely the time when the big girls finally get their butts in gear and start moving up, especially if it was cool the night before. Our best went somewhere between 10.5 & 11..... Best of luck!!!

Don't give up on the spawn, they will be some on beds on the lower end in small pockets off main lake.
