For those making the river run on Hubbard, the lake is still low enough for you to hit those special little things under the water know as STUMPS.
As many times as I have made that run, I still tore up a prop and bent my skeg today.

Not so much on my part but for the guy in my passenger seat, he freaked a little. Was pretty damned funny seeing the look on his face. Almost worth the price of getting my prop fixed...

Not so much on my part but for the guy in my passenger seat, he freaked a little. Was pretty damned funny seeing the look on his face. Almost worth the price of getting my prop fixed... Lol, I ran it once years ago, looked down while going 55-60 and saw several giant stumps in 2-3ft of water, I decided to trim it up and punch it rather than come off pad and rush setting down on one! Still have a mental picture of them stumps... Caught the hell out of mud fish, lol

That sucks! Just curious...how fast were you going? We ran in at about 40 to 45 mph. I slow down, trim up and raise the jack plate before the power lines and pick up the pace a bit just before getting into the river.

I ran in today and out right after dark no problems (Knock on wood) Also ran up rowlett creek past the miller bridge that water was flowing fast
