I surely would like some assistance in locating some productive crappie spots and best techniques. Also would like to converse with some of those of you who fish LBJ frequently and share successes. I appreciate your interest and your help.

Really don't hear alot about LBJ but it is a very good crappie lake. Lots of keeper fish to be caught. Nothing huge, usually 10 to 13 inchers. I did finally break the 2 lb mark about a month ago, so there are bigger fish to be had. Being a constant level lake is a big plus except for all the pleasure boaters during the summer months. Lots of brush to be found if you have good electronics. Good luck if you fish it.

The Bite hasn't started yet on LBJ. Been out fishing everyday for the last 2 weeks and only caught 9 ( 3 keepers ).The spawn hasn't started,but with the warm weather this week it start soon.

i posted a longer reply on a different LBJ thread... the fish are pre-spawn and not yet shallow. should clean up the next 2 weekends in coves.

Thanks to all for the update. I will gladly respond in kind within the next couple of weeks when I am blessed to throw a jig or two on LBJ.
