Your best bet would be to park by the boat ramp, it's to the right when you go in all the way at the end. There is no gas for 25 miles or so and just a small store closer. No striper maybe a few hybrids if your lucky.

No females yet. Probably another week or two...

Since fishing is a sport, I guess that makes us athletes...

I have AT&T as well. Phone service is spotty, but works ONLY when you're up on the hill before driving down to the river in Bend. Once you get down in the valley - no cell service at all - regardless of your provider.

We usually drive up the hill to check messages or place calls.

Just got off the phone with sulfur springs camp and the river has risen considerably, some are limiting out mostly night fisherman at the state park. All males so far on dark roadrunners. I'm gonna go try tommorrow through Thursday

It's a very big, easy trail to walk. And yes to the propane stove.

Can someone explain how the Feds count recreational Red Snapper catch?

Back before it was CBSP, it was called Lemon's Camp/Goreman Falls. A "Dark" lure back then was blue. A "Roadrunner" was a bird. We used to kill em back in the mid-late 70's with blue hourse hair jigs we bought from the Bend Store. Yes, I'm old... LOL

I've caught them on chart/white roadrunners there 3-4 years ago. But the water was clear then. I'm glad to hear fishing stories coming from there. I was wondering if we would hear anything this year. It looks like the recent rains was a white bass fisherman's dream come true. It went from zero to one hundred in 30 or less days.

Good luck all.

Shut up and fish!

Just got back yesterday for a one night camping trip at the park. fished Sunday afternoon for a couple hours and caught 15, trolling in my kayak, mostly downstream from the boatramp to the cut. Trolling with two rods, white on one and chartruese on the other, roadrunners. A lot of limits were to be had and still all males. Then yesterday it totally slowed down. Didnt see many with more then 5 on their stringers. Just gonna get better!

Not sure what to call it, but theres a small cove on the right side and in front of that cove is a rocky point. You cant miss it and its only about quarter mile from the boat ramp. In front of that point is where I caught most of mine while trolling through there and it seems like others were too. however, on that sunday afternoon, a lot of people were catching them just wadefishing all around the park. The ranger even told me that during the rains a couple days before, that some limits were caught in 45 minutes.
