Went out this afternoon just to check on the fish. I didn't know what to expect after the rain and crazy weather. The water looks good, maybe a few inches higher. The mud hasn't washed in yet but as of now it looks fine and the fish were biting pretty good. Note whats coming out of the second fish. Its gonna be a fun week!

I caught them on a Santone jig today, but keep in mind you need to be prepared for a long day with few bites fishing a jig this time of year. I like it because its one of the best way to catch bigger fish. That isn't for everybody, I know. Lots of other patterns working as well. Also, you can find my jig rod from Reel Time Rods at Lake Fork Marina soon!

Great job Andrew I guess we are going to have to call that rod the Andrew G series. Keep up the good reports.

With no grass your gonna get lighter looking fish.
My pond here at Fork almost dried up...but the grass has already got to the point I have to start removing it or it will take over again..

Hydrilla is tough stuff!

The TFF never disappoints, always entertaining.

My guess is that fish G caught just moved into the neighborhood. Other pics of shallow fish recently posted show lots of color.

Thanks guys!

As for the color of the fish they were a little deeper, I was looking for fish that still hadn't moved up and were less bothered by the changing conditions (just my theory). Can't wait to see what they do today with 80 degrees!
