Make sure the motor has oil in it before you crank her up if it has truely never been run!

looking at the pic i would call her Scar tissue that just came to mind right off. Kinda looks like a lure with the red streaks on the front. One that has been bitten a time or two.

Make sure the motor has oil in it before you crank her up if it has truely never been run! Very good advice. I don't think those Briggs and Stratton outboards came with oil in them. I have the same engine and it cranks right up everytime. Reggie
