Second, what keeps them from charging both tags when you aren't pulling the trailer? And when you are, what keeps them from charging both tags for 3 or 4 axles?

They put the trailer on my present toll tag that I keep in the vehicle. If the trailer is being towed, I will be charged for 3 axles. If the trailer is not being towed, I should be charged for 2 axles. The charges are suppose to be at the toll tag discounted rate. I think it was working this way previously when I towed the boat and the trailer was not listed on the toll tag. !!!???

Then when they did, it had so many late fees on it, it would scare your face off. I argued it and they eventually waved the late fees. Huge rip off. $ 28.00 in tolls in one day going down GBT from I35E to I30. The signs say three or more axles additional. They just don't post HOW much! Lesson Learned.
