Returned from Falcon a couple weeks ago. I didn't see any law enforcement on the Mexican side. There was a ton on the US side. With that said my mexican license was $22 for a week. Most of us throw baits that cost that much. Why would you even consider spending money on everything else for a trip and not buying a Mexican fishing license if you fish that side.

I would buy the license but whoever wanted to see it would have to come over to Texas because I am hauling butt if another boat gets too close to me!

Dan, you can't see where the gill nets are so if you cross one, it get's around your prop and you're screwed unless you can remove it. That can only be done by cutting it out. You have to stand in shallow water to work on the prop from the rear. I got naked so I would have dry clothes to put on after the net was removed. Comprende?

I usually go in the water in my boxers rather then going naked when I have to cut gill nets out of the prop. Carry spare underwear and a sharp [censored] knife in the boat. It's better then walking around naked in front of the gillnetters

Keep your boat in gear when you shut it off so the prop won't spin. Makes getting the net out much easier.

Illegals already take enough money out of my countries economy. Lets give some more money to Mexico!

Using a telescoping lure retriever has worked in the past. Right, Dan?
Someone should come up with a telescoping knife on a stick...for just such emergencies.

The mexican ones are much more fun though. Luckily I did not show you those, I just showed you monster fish all weekend instead. haha

Just get the damn thing. IF you're not gonna break the law in the US, why break it in a country with a. . .lets say less advanced judicial system.

I have never seen a Mexican game warden on Falcon. I have seen the lady warden on Amistad. I was just wondering if anyone had ever been stopped without a Mex license and what happened. Can you say "I don't want to be your girlfriend" in Spanish? Why risk it? I got a license and had my passport.

Another question. Everyone talks about what the Mecicans can and will do but has anyone ever even been asked to produce a Mex license. I grew up in West Texas and have fished Amistad over 30 years. In all that time I have never been asked to show a license while fishing over there. I'm thinking on the off chance if a person were to be stopped you'd just bribe them like the Federalles in Cuna.
