There are no secret spots on Hubbard, just spots that people give different names. i have been fishing the north side of Hubbard fo nearly six years. Recently, there have been a few people that claim they have secret spots up north, but they don't. Before me there were other guys that fished up north and continue to do so to this day. Guides and nonguides alike. I will say that if you do venture up that way, you'd better know where you are going and how to get there, otherwise make sure your boat insurance is current with full coverage and you let some one know where you will be. I have taken people up north and have flat out scared them because of where i go and how i get there. Is the fishing better up north than down south? Most of the time, No, but there are certain times when it is good, but it also depends on what you are fishing for. Good luck to you. i'll shoot you a PM shortly.

Quiet down frank!!! No more mindless chatter about railroad beds, river channels and whatnot. My lips are now sealed... Fat chance I can never shut up!

Been fishing Hubbard since '80 and my wife's family built one of the first houses on the lake off Dalrock. The lake hadn't even impounded when they moved there in '69. Back then before the advent of better graphs and GPS there were no secrets. It was the third tree on the right and you lined up with the pipe on the shore. Everyone shared their spots and everyone fished together. Those days the "elders" talked and we shut up and listened and fished. I miss those days and those guys but now we have new friends and fishing buddies and so the cycle of life goes on. Happy Fishing!

hey grainraiser,
Tuesday i got out on the lake at about 11:00 and hit a few spots on the south side then was heading back to 66 and low and behold along my travel path i stubbled across some hungry magnum sandies off the point north of rockwall marina. caught about 20 in 30 minutes or so. stopped fishing the north side a few years back but you just never know what you will come across. by the way, they were hungry for some Moes tail spinners!
