Everything is lined up for one Texas “weekend” angler to potentially win the Bassmaster Weekend Series (BWS) National Championship (which will be held on Sam Rayburn this year) and have his dreams come true with a berth to compete at the 2013 Bassmaster Classic to be held in Oklahoma. Both the BWS South Central Regional event and the BWS National Championship are in your back yard … so don’t let this opportunity pass you by.

The competition is going to be tough as there are expected to be over 100 boats at each event in the Texas Division 10 (which means there will be a $5,000 guarantee payout on the boater side & a guarantee of $2,500 on the co-angler). There are two (2) Texas divisions … 1 from the Sam Rayburn/Toledo Bend area & the other (Division 11) from the North East part of the state. Division 11 will be competiting on Lake Tyler this weekend (fished this past weekend) and the season opener for Division 10 (1st of 4 qualifying events) will be next weekend on March 17th on Sam Rayburn.

NEW THIS YEAR FOR CO-ANGLERS … the co-angler winning at Regionals will also win a new Triton boat!!! (We are needing more co-anglers for Division 10 to help even the field … so sign up quickly to secure your spot)

You can call American Bass Anglers at 888-203-6222 to sign up for any of the events or go on line at http://www.abaproam.com.

Attached is a link to download the BWS brochure, which contains payouts, dates, rules, awesome contingency programs, and details concerning registration. http://www.americanbassanglers.com/BWS/2012BWSWeb.pdf or you can go to http://www.abaproam.com to view details on line.

We’re looking forward to meeting the new competition and seeing the return of past BWS anglers. Feel free to contact the tournament manager (Porter Trimble) @ 318-201-3474 if you have any questions that cannot be answered on the website, or feel free to contact me.

try this series if you only do one this year, do this one, probably the best run series in the state. Great pay outs, good people, and great times to be had.

I looked into it and the schedules for southeast texas.

It's basically all Rayburn and one toledo. Not real exciting fishing the same lake every time for a "Series" event.

Probably real good for the guys that live closer to there. But still, I would have had more interest with a more diverse schedule.

There are already a ton of rayburn tourneys, why limit this region to this lake over and over again..

The east texas region hits a different lake every time, that would be more fun for me in a "series" layout..

I agree that there needs to more diversity in the schedule. It gives someone a huge adantage that lives close to rayburn. In both divisions allmost all of the tournaments are in east Texas and does not branch out to central or west Texas.

The divisions are "East Texas" and "Southeast Texas"

So that's where they cover geographically

People cry all the time about coming to rayburn time after time the locals dont dominate these tournaments. If u went to other lakes u wouldnt have a 100 boats. If ur a good fisherman it wouldnt matter what lake u go to u still got to do ur home work.

Plus why would you want it anywhere else when the National Championship is there. Chance to win over 200k and fish in the Classic. I lv that all of them are there and I live near Dallas. I am in.

We're looking forward to this weekend ... should be our biggest divisional tournament to date (this is the 6th year of Porter Trimble TD in this division). Although we're getting new registrations every day (both boater & co-angler) we're still running a steady 8-9 short on co-anglers. If you have a link, make sure to sign up b/f noon today (call 888-203-6222) in order to be guaranteed. If you're on the fence ... go ahead & register.

It's going to be a good time w/ lots of big fish seen at weigh-in!
