With all the rain potentially headed our way, a buddy and I headed out to Cedar Creek yesterday to get one more good trip in before the weather tries to put a damper on things.

The great thing about CC, is there are always places to get out of the wind, and yesterday was no exception.

Hit the first spot I hit last Sunday. Today, we decided to troll 4 rods with 1/16 oz heads and Lake Fork Baby Shads...got 3 good males, and 3 short ones...only had 1 bite in there Sunday pitchin', so hopefully that spot is on the rise.

Went on over to the "ledge" that my son and I did well on last Sunday, and the fish were waiting for us wink Could not get all 4 rods out, ended up just trolling 3 rods, and then put them all away and just pitched jigs again. Had 19 keepers on my first run down the ledge, and decided to go look around in other areas of the lake.

All fish were caught in less than 4' of water. I decided we would go around to some other areas of the lake to scout for shallow fish, found some fish on docks in 3-5' but only found a few here and a few there, so just keep on moving if you are not getting bit.

Also...water in the far backs of coves are holding a lot of 1.5-2.5 pound bass...we raked them off several spots yesterday...they sure are fun on jig/bobber...all released.

Here is a pair from yesterday. All fish caught today were males...ready for the females to begin showing up this next week:

What color worked the best or did it matter?

You are a brave fellow Brain, but it's understandable. You and Chuck knows the lake like the back of your hand.
Good looking blackies via spawning!

We trolled the Chartreuse Glow, Golden Shiner, Blue Gill, and Black/Pink. They all caught fish.
