Your best option is to buy used.

Used is a good option to anyone IMO and for someone that hasn't owned a bass boat before I think its the smartest way to go. Just get anything used checked out before you buy. Lots of good deals on boats in that size range out there. It will leave you with extra cash for electronics, shallow water anchors and other goodies.

I pretty much fish the same and have that same set up and the 70lb TM is plenty. Usually stays on 2 unless my buddy pi$$e$ me off then I'll crank it on high and try n toss em out of the boat which I've almost done to myself a few times.. The 150hp motor is fine theres only so many days when you can actually run full throttle. The best upgrade I recommend is to add a hydrofoil to the motor. The ride is MUCH MUCH smoother and handles rough water a ton better. Drive the boat for a couple weeks without it, install it and it's like driving a completely different boat. For $60 and a half hour to install I'm certain you won't regret it. I also highly recommend putting a stainless steel skeg protector on just for protection, mine hides a pretty nice chunk missing from the first week I had it out. I also upgraded to an 898si on the console and it's pretty amazing, be nice to have someone explain to me on the water so I know what all I'm looking at. Not sure if it they come equipped or not now but my hot foot is really nice to have and safer. Good Luck
