 chatter bait first time using it did good

Yesterday night went to Lake Conroe and I put on a chatter bait and it was my first time using this lure and I put a trailer on it and it did pretty good caught 4 over 3 pounds I wish I caught some more but it was really windy out there and the water was a little stained from the run off from the river. The lake just keeps on rising hopefully the rain we get during the weekend will help it rise some more.

First time I used a chatterbait was about six months ago. I always had em but never felt really confident in them. Well my first cast with one I caught about a two pounder, and then hooked maybe five more in about 30 minutes. Lost it that same trip...it did its job well though HAHA!

Chatterbait has been one of my go to baits for a long time. I've found that it works best in the cooler water seasons and anywhere near grass. I've caught them good in brush too but you have to be careful there. Some of the imitations roll on their sides when they touch brush and hang up immediately

Never tried one. Think I will buy some of them. They should just send my paycheck directly to tackle warehouse.

My fishing partner tied one on and had me try it out after a while and man, the action on that thing will give you carpal tunnel! lol I'm going to have to pick up some of them.

Wormman got his first DD last year on one....well....it was a Pheonix Viberating Jig but same principle and design.

it is definitely a big fish bait. i haven't thrown one very much and never caught good numbers on it but every fish i have caught except one has been 4 plus. just too many times with zero bites to throw it more often, always have it trailed with a paddle tail swim bait.
