I took off Thursday to go fishing. Here is what the rain forecast has done in the last 24 hours. Not making this up either...

Chance of rain went from 60% to 30% to 80% to 20% and now is back at 90%.

I'm going and bet it doesn't rain a drop LOL

what's the worst that can happen if you go anyway? a day off work? $4 gas burned? if you can catch a break between storms, you might just slay them.

Chance of rain is always 50%.
It will rain or it won't rain.

The wind and direction is what I try to get on weather.

I'm just glad that my work doesn't involve the thousands of variables that are involved in weather forecasting hammer

It don't take much to be a Weatherman.

A Meteorologist who's earned the National Weather Association Seal of Approval is best defined as....

"a person who failed to declare a college major and still graduated last in their class from a 4 year institution of higher learning"

I know how you feel the weather websites are being ridiculous about the weather forecast for this weekend...

I have a brother that works for the National Weather Service. He tells me that within 24 hours they are pretty good. 72 hours out they are OK. Anything beyond that is best guess. To many variables that are out of their control.

I think that a different forecast is put on several pieces of paper and thrown in a hat and someone from each local station gets to pull out a piece of paper and they get to use that forecast that day so that they all have an equal chance of getting one right.
I spend sixteen hours a day Mon-fri in front of several TVs and get to see several forecasts on at the same time and most of the time you would think they were talking about a different state instead of the same city.

I can tell you this, my mind has changed about going about as much as this weather forecast.

I don't mind some rain, but t-storms with potential flooding is not something I want to be in.
