Verdict: a BCS TFF member's fishing date on Gibbons is a MUST. We'll figure them out...strength in numbers!

Anyone know what the story is with the plant? I was out there this weekend for the first time in about two years and I was shocked! Everything on the shoreline was dead. There was no grass, no pads, and even the buck brush that had grown up was dead! I managed 5 for about 16lbs, but it was a struggle.

Saved by the Lord... glad to be an Aggie!

Maybe we could get Bass Colonel to come and teach a class on Gibbons. He seems to have it figured out most of the time.

Mitchellz71,
I'll be out there too on friday, fishing from the bank. Been a rough week of exams for this student, so I have to get some fishing in haha.

Seems Don told me a while back that the plant is going through series of big upgrades making it pretty clean for the EPA and for a coal burning power plant

I see the sprayers killing the hycynths and everyone says the poison doesn't hurt the rest of the lake vegetation, but the recent Lake level fluctuations can not be blamed for the near 100% grass/brush losses.

Did recently C/Release a 5 lber and another 4or 5 over 4 lbs in about 3 hours fishing, all from the same area.
