No, but I have seen plenty of others chumming. We were fishing a Mount Pleasant open on Bob Sandlin & my wife and I pulled up next to my regular fishing partner, Dude Ashley. I couldn't see him until he picked his head up & said he was chumming up a big one. Too much of the night before! Was out on Lake Michigan and a friend of mine got sick, but before it was all said & over, he was drinking beer & and catching fish. He's the only one that I ever saw recover before getting back to solid ground

Never on a fishing boat!
Only once that I can remember on a Ship! We were doing workups for a WestPac, off the coast of CA. I pulled the midnight to 6 am watch one night, I had went down to the galley for midrats, and on the way back up to the radio room, I lost it on the way up! went and found a swab and cleaned it up and was fine the rest of the way.
The worst seas I have ever been in was back in 85 or so! We were on the way back to Camp Lejeune after being on a 90 day Nordic cruise. We were 3 days out of North Carolina and hit a storm in the Atlantic. For 2 days we were at the mercy of the sea, and it wasn't kind. The Marines basically hunkered down in the berthing trying not to be sick. I'm glad I had stocked up on Saltine crackers! Never did get sick, but a lot of my fellow Marines did.

When I was young I chewed Brown's Mule and Day's Work plug tobacco. My brother and I were way up the Cowhouse on Belton and he said gimme some of that stuff.I said "it'll make you sick if your not use to it". Anyhow he decided that he was gonna be a man that day and in a few minutes I heard the distinctive EEAARRL! He said he wanted to go home and I said,"no way".That was the end of the tobacco chewing for my brother and he's never dipped, smoked, or chewed to this day. powdr

Me twice. Not from rough water though. Both times fishing tournaments I had kidney stones hit me. Worst feeling in the world!! The worst was two years ago a summer tournament. It got to 107 that day. I spent more time over the side of the boat pucking than my partner did fishing. By the time I said I couldn't make it any longer I was pucking blood. Ended up at hospital for the stone and for dehydration. NEVER AGAIN Justin

Back in the days when I wakeboarded (and fished - I know, they don't mix) I had a couple of cold beverages and did a reverse header that knocked the wind out of me and when I got back on board I chummed my lunch, washed it down with another cold one and went back to jumpin' the wake! Several times with friends off my boat, but all were alcohol induced from the previous evening's festivities.

I was on a crew boat in 12-15 seas for 12 hours being evacuated in a hurricane. The only two people that did not get sick were me and the Captain. I've never been sea sick and hope I never do. Me either, 10-12 foot seas are pretty ruff. I've seen deck hands over the rail in that.. Never has bothered me, I've spent many hours half laughing at the expressions on many a face that was sick...Bless their hearts, LOL.. some were EX-Wifes, thinking back on those I really do laugh.

6 footers on the Columbia River in a 19ft (but wide) electrofishing boat at 1am in the morning. I almost got sick, mainly because I was staring down tagging fish we had just shocked up.
We ended up having to bail from the scene, because we were taking on a ton of water in a hurry. I ended up taking the wheel from the rookie and told him to pay attention on how to 180 boat in less than 3 seconds, to avoid getting flipped over while sideways between the swells.
I would be happy to never be in a situation like that ever again.
Ooo, avoided an actual whirlpool below the bonneville dam that summer too. That one dang near cause me to [censored] myself. It was 150' deep there too!
