Well, after having won the free half-day guide trip for two at the Crappie Angler's of Texas Extravaganza, I asked Jana to go with me on the trip. We had been waiting until the weather was warm for a few days and the wind was expected to be low to schedule a trip. Last Thursday was the day! Jana and I met Chuck at the old Finny Tribe hangout at 6:15 a.m. We loaded and took off. We were almost at our fishing hole when Chuck received an emergency phone call and had to go. We gave Jay Don a call (woke him up!!) and asked if he wanted to take us out for the morning in Chuck's boat. After a long paus (2 seconds) he said sure. He met us at the boat ramp and off we went again. All I have to say it WOW - due to lake levels and other fishing excursions it's probably been over a year since I fished Cedar Creek. (Yes, we live on Cedar Creek). Jana is a great crappie angler!! She caught the biggest and probably out fished us! We had a great "corporate" fishing day! Here's what we brought home - probably left 15 or 20 behind!   Everything turned out OK for Chuck and we were sorry he had to checkout early, but it was a great day and we just want to say THANKS BigCrappie.com for the trip and for your contribution to Crappie Anglers of Texas! You, Lane, Chris and Jason are great fisherman and people and we are glad we know each one of you (Laurie too)!! If anyone is coming to Cedar Creek and you want to catch fish, give these guys a call - you won't regret it!! Rhonda

If I had only known it was that easy I could have hired Jay Don sooner. I sure was looking forward to putting you ladies on fish too! I got a call and had to run to the ER, it was certainly unexpected. Thanks again guys, there's not many people I would trust enough to take my boat. Y'all are great! I'm glad it all worked out like it did.

It has been a long time since my last fishing trip & what a great day last Thursday was. My first time ever to jig fish, didn't have a minnow on the boat. Lane said I jig "caught", not jig "fished". Rhonda used Lake Fork Trophy Lures & I used Slab Bandits on a 1/16oz. jig head. Thanks Chuck for the use of the boat & a great big thanks to Jay Don & Rhonda for an awesome day on the water!
