I`ve been doing some spring cleaning today around the office, shop and the boat. I`m trying to organize my tackle so I can find what I need in a hurry If need be. Well, I have way more tackle than I thought I did. My girlfriend came by while I had a lot of it spread out and she just looked at it with a blank stare and said your sick and need help. grin
Anyway, I have a lot of plastics that I don`t think I`ll ever use and wanted to see if there was a kids organization I could donate it to?

Big Red 12 is in the process of getting a high school team together. You might shoot him a PM.

My 14yo nephew would GLADLY take them off your hands. He does work for me sometimes and asks me to pay him in tackle and fishing trips.

Tom, thanks for your kind gesture. There are tons of start-up high school teams all over the state. Heard on the radio this am that bass fishing will become an official high school sport in 2013. I think that's fantastic.

If Steve can't help you with a team, either Khristian Salcedo (YoungFisher972) or Alec Castonguay should be able to point you in the right direction. Thanks again, man. Cool thing you're doing.

I made the same conclusion about a month ago. Just haven't had the time to sort thru it all.

Check this out! We are moving and my girlfriend is doing the packing (her choice). After packing up my tackle, she told me," If you buy one more pack of plastic baits, there wont be any place for us to live, and therefore I will leave you." I,m sure gonna miss her (hee-hee) Seriously though, I may have to donate some as well. Oh well, a mans gotta have at least one vice dont he?

I'm also in the same boat (haha)...I have plenty of bags of good brand soft plastics that I would be willing to donate to the kiddos.

Yes, contact Steve. He has been working hard to get things going and I know it must be overwhelming. I can assure you it will be given to kids who need it. If you would like his number I will PM it to you.

That`s fine or just have him PM me. Either way is fine with me.

I just got on and saw your post. Our kids would be very thankful for generoucity. I know several of my kids have very little tackle and are in need as we move forward with this project. We have a meeting on Monday with a speaker. My contact information:

Just curious...if these high school kids can't afford enough bait, where do they get access to bass boats?

This is such a win!!!

Tom Gives away tackle and restocks at the marina.

I'm in as well, we have a lot of odds and ends accumulated over the years. I'd be interested in giving a lot of it away to a good organization.
