I have always wanted to ask this question. Are there any Hybrids or Sandies north of I-30. Whenever I drive by the lake I seldom see any fisherman on this side of the lake. When I do it is always bass fisherman fishing the rocks. When the wind is high the southside has whitecaps while the northside is as smooth as glass sometimes. I never every see folks fishing for sandies or hybids north of I-30. Whats up with this.

Reggie

To try and answer your question :There are a lot of stumps over there and most of the time the fish are in the south of 30 side of the lake. I would imagine that this time of year is when some of the fish are heading north. Maybe one of the experts on Hubbard will give you a better answer

There are spots on that side for sure. When the spawn is on often you'll hit them coming and going. But during the summer I have several spots on the North side that always produce. The guides (cough Paul!) know about them. The south end is the place to be but there are fish on the north side on the old RR tacks, deep holes, river channel etc...

Last year about this time me and a buddy caught a mess of whites in between the Miller Road Bridge and the railroad tracks. Just trolling up and down all through there.
