After a long day on the water yesterday without any luck I didn't think there could be anything much worse than getting skunked in this heat.

Until today - in an effort to appear marginally useful around the house I volunteered to help with the cleaning and got the job of holy stoning the toilets. We have hard water with copper in it and it leaves green streaks in the bowl. The only septic safe way to get the streaks out that we've found is to get in there with a pumice stone and grind it out manually.

Does anyone know of a product that'll do the job (without the elbow grease) and won't hurt the septic tank?

I think I would just go fishing again instead.. Even getting skunked has to be better than that..

Get black toilets, what you don't see won't hurt you.

I have no idea if these will work, try CLR or maybe limeaway.

Yep...give limeaway a try. They make it in a gel, and it will stick to the sides of the bowl. Let it sit on there all day if necessary.

Black toilets hide the skid marks.

Turn the water off and flush the bowl, then get a can of "Barkeeper's Friend" and a wet cloth. That stuff is magic! Cleans just about every thing, including the copper bottoms on our Revereware Pots and Pans.

If you ever leave for a few days pour Coca-Cola in the toilet before you go. When you get back the lime will be dissolved.

Just do like I do, I don't use it, I go outside in a different spot every time!Saves water & the septic tank don't fill up with too much liquid!I am gonna build me an outhouse on the bluff & just let it "FLY"!LOL!
