Haven't found a bait yet that doesn't work well on it! Even baits you wouldn't expect like 5" senko type baits or grande snakes. I would expect finesse worms to be great as well. Anything other than really big profile baits or worms as the fish would really have to munch to get the hook.

Try the matching Biffle Bug that the bait was designed for, its an awesome bait in it's own right.
I have also had some success with tubes and other creatures.

do NOT use hag's F8 (or similar).
unless you care to get your arm broken, or your reel ripped from your hands.

you need to get or make one that has a wide #5 or #6 hook and then put on a double wide beaver......BIG BITES!
The day after catching a lot of fish is still a good day.

Mag Fluke but you have to cut about half an inch off the nose to make it sit on the hook properly! Warning.. Don't try this at falcon!
I'm hung on that bush.

I fish big stuff here on Falcon and have 1 oz heads with 6/0 gammy superline hooks and go as light as 1/2 oz heads with 4/0 gammy superline hooks. Great people to deal with and the best part is that they are made right here in Katy, TX.....no export/import from china here.

I have used 12 inch worms on the back of shakey heads or in this case the ball and chains and very seldom do the bass not strike down on the baits head........of course I am not targeting 15 inch fish either. lol, a 6 lb + bass has noooooo problems devouring the lure.

The best options I've used have been the Biffle Bugs and the Salt Flick'rs. Go check out Gene Larew's website and you'll see a video from Tommy on tips for fishing the Hard Head. www.genelarew.com
