After spending the majority of the day on the lake I called it quits... While I caught more fish then last Sunday, it was still disappointing. I fished Wacky style and divers. Had the best luck on the worm and some on a Bandit.

I figured I would attach a picture showing roughly where I fished in case anyone cares or wants to know.

Sorry for the Red Text. Guess I could have used a better color such as White?!? :-)

You tore them up compared to me! And I might have burned more gas($$) than you. I am still trying to focus on the good-I didnt hit any stumps and no one cut me off.

Red is fine --- Thanks for the info. I will be home on Fork Thursday for a couple of weeks, Birch and White Oak are exactly where I am going to start also. I will let you know how it goes.

You caught two more than I did today. I fished Big Mustang for about three hours. Water temp was high 50's.

I saw 64 degrees in Birch. The water was still muddy compared to other parts of the lake. I did not see ANY bedding fished and only saw one boat with three guys beating the shoreline.

RKD - I was also lucky with no damage!

I did on a couple of occasions slam the trolling motor only to back up and find no tree limbs visible. The water is so turned up on this side of the lake compared to the East fork....

I fished White Oak for a couple of hours yesterday catching three and lost one. I had several bites, but they would pick it up and spit it so fast I couldn`t set the hook fast enough. I was pitching a jig along the creek.

Me and my son had 14 this afternoon on lizards and spinnerbaits. No big fish. The three biggest were a little over 5 lbs. We switched to swim baits late in the day to try to get a big bite with no luck. We probably could have caught 20 if we had stayed with the lizard and SBs. We did not fish where you did but I like the map. Thanks for the info.

These locations are obviously no secret. I have been forcing myself to fish the West side more often. I admit that my PB came from White Oak last year so it has kept my interest up.

white oak bay and sunken bass point were my favorite areas for many years. then the hydrilla went away and the lake had a huge fish kill. sort of dates me. fished the area at night last summer and did well.

next time go up the creek in the very back, should be or will be loaded with beds, also look for a very small creek on the west side of white oak bay, back behind the "island" small but good fish used to spawn in there to. next try spring creek near the point on the west side.

never been a huge fan of birch, too much pressure.

Send me a PM with some good fishing points and I will!

Just kidding

All I did was take a PrntScr (print screen button on keyboard) of maps.google.com (lake fork) and then paste the image into Paintbrush (built into windows XP , Win 7, etc)

Once you have done this you can do whatever with the image and then save it as a jpg. If you need more help feel free to message me. After you have done it one time it is real easy.

Thanks

We had 11 today in 4 to 10 ft., but no real size. Biggest was just over 3#. TX rig soft stickworm performed best. Only 2 of the fish showed signs of fanning a nest. Fished some out deeper on points and creek channels, but we're struggling to find the big ladies.
