Are they still catching them under the marina's, or have they made the move shallow?

I caught some fishing off the bank in Captains Cove. I used bobbers and minnows and I also used a small green spinner bait.

I have been catching some nice crappie in about ten feet of water on the North End of RH. In the past, when the cattails start to green up is when they move shallow.

Been pretty good fishing at Captain's Cove during the early morning. I haven't tried to fish at night and idea on what to use to catch crappie at night? Keep in mind I don't to use live bait jigs is what I like to use. Also, has anyone had any luck at Harbor Bay Marina I have a slip there as well.

Welcome aboard gatordad

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Be carefull out there, I fished it on Monday with little success but saw a what look to be a 4 to 6 foot gator close to the shore. First gator I have ever seen and I got out of that area immediately, went over to dalrock and had six keepers that evening with one over 15"s.

Good Luck

I saw the game warden down there last night I wonder if he was tending to a gator?

I have also seen a gator on Hubbard. It was south of Rush creek. Saw it last year. Pretty neat.

Don't mention gators in the bass section. They don't believe there are any gators in Hubbard. Some over there even say that the DfW area is too far north to support gators. You all know how sensitive those bass guys are so keep that kind of talk down here.We don't want them to have an anxiety attack.
