I have actually had good success on chrome colored square bill crankbaits or jerkbaits.

I typically throw natural colors on a sunny day and on cloudy days dip the tail in chart...

it depends on water clarity, but i'll typically go with a smaller profile bait, maybe a finesse jig instead of a bigger flipping or football jig. I'll use natural bream or shad colored cranks, or pumpkinseed/watermelon colored plastics. I'll go to chartruese colors in stained/muddy water or on really cloudy days. Just experiment a little bit, sometimes one small change can really make a diffrence!

I used a white spinnerbait with double brass colordo blades yesterday and killed em'. On the flip side, I couldn't buy a bite on a pumpkin seed tube that has worked so well recently. I also tried a Cajun Crawfish creature bait that didn't get looked at either. All they wanted was the white sinner bait. Go figure.
