I am at a lost for what happend to my fish. Me and my partner went to Ray Roberts last weekend and fished the shootout. We got third with 10.20. Now thats not a big sack by no means but we caught alot of fish that were just shy of 2 lbs and 2 lbers. So that was the some up of our pre fishing for champs. We knew that we weren't on the fish to win but we figured that we could go get a limit of 2 pounders and then go look for a kicker to get a check. We started on the bank that we had caught all our fish on the weekend before and could not buy a bite, So we backed off and fished a little deeper thinkin that the front might have had them backed off and that did not work. Scratching our heads we decided to focus on on the points that where on the bank and as you can guess no luck there either. The only fish we caught the whole tournament came off of our backup bank in about a foot and a half of water. I cant make sense of where my fish could have gone. If anyone could help me make sense of this i would appreciate it alot.lol

Our fish were on the main lake bank straight across the lake from the marina. We caught them on the big chunk rocks on cranks and on all the little points down that bank on other things like a C-rig and shakeyheads. Just dont know why or where the fish would have went. That is main lake ith deep water close and lots of points for the fish to stage on.

I went to EM today. I fished the North half of the lake, A) because I had never fished there and B) I figured it would be warming up faster. Well, I started off the day loosing ~7lber, bent my jig hook... I guess I got a little too excited on the hookset. I managed to catch a handful of small fish throughout the day, couple dink keepers. But I fished all day, for very few bites. I had high hopes at first, but man it turned into a grind. I ended up covering a lot of neat water though. The north end sure looks different than fishing up near the dam. I think the warmest temp I recall seeing was ~59 too.

Thats about the only thing Ive ever figured out

I'd say the fish didn't move far from where they were at but had fed up real good and just wouldn't eat that day. This time of year they'll sometimes back off the sides of a sharp drop near where they are at and may not go real deep but suspend say 10ft deep in 20 ft of water a few yards from an 8-10 foot ledge. When they do that they can be super hard to catch.

That would have been a big move all the way across the main lake. If they would have been gettin on the beds i would have thought they would have move to the back of the little pockets near the points. that would have only been a 50 to 100 yard move.
