it is actually a very easy process. Example: The weatherman forecast 5-10 mph early, then increasing to 15-20 in the afternoon. It translates to 5 + 10 = 15 mph hour before 9am (+/- 3 hours) increasing to 10 + 20 = 30 immediately after noon. The weathermans computer uses the "-" instead of "+", apparently their keyboard is missing the + key.

If you have an iPhone there's an app called WX Alert USA that's excellent. It's hooked into real time National Weather Service data and it works not only as a forecast tool but also as a severe weather alert/tornado warning alarm.

None of em!! I always look at 3 0r 4 then take the worst wind forecast and count on that one! Nine times outta ten it is right!! :-)

Windalert.com.
It's originally developed for windsurfers, but is the best I have found.
It's one of the key ones use as a plane pilot... along with NOAA. Windalert.com provides very accurate hour by hour forecast.
