Knee-Deep are you joking? If not cancel that order. You do not need 30lb fluoro unless you are deep sea fishing. Vanish is also junk imo. Ask more questions here and people will help you with what you need.

I'm thinking of going to Target this afternoon for some tackle, does anyone have a preference of Fluorocarbon Line? Any ideas would be appreciated. I normally only use Braided lines. And thanks in advance for any help...

Your friend doesnt know what hes talking about by saying what he said. The fish don't use the line to find the bait, they use their senses to find the bait.

Also, go to walmart, they have a better selection than target.

This ^^^^

Berkley 100% Fluorocarbon is okay. Not the best but not the worst.

BTW, what part of Texas are you in?

For bass fishing the 14 to 20 pound test range is a good bet.

If it were up to me, id stick with monofilament. Its pretty tough and its not that expsensiv, either.

Fluoros have their place. I use copolys, fluoros, and braid all three depending on the situation.

A good fluoro is much more sensitive that monos, or copolys. In many situations it is also more sensitive that braid. For really nasty stuff I actually prefer a hard premium fluorocarbon line such as Shooter.

Of course different strokes for different folks, and all that.

Well he is more than a bit of a lurker given that he’s only made 24 post in 6 years, and this thread marks his first post since 2007.

I have been out of fishing for a while now. I've probably been bass fishing no more than 15 times since I joined this site. I'm gonna try my hand at it again from here on. I have fished in salt a little more thus the "knee_deep" user name.
