I've never used it, and a friend of mine says- and I quote "It suck's, the fish can't see it so they don't know where your bait is."
I'm thinking of going to Target this afternoon for some tackle, does anyone have a preference of Fluorocarbon Line? Any ideas would be appreciated. I normally only use Braided lines. And thanks in advance for any help...

XPS from Bass Pro Shops.

If it is good enough for KVD then it is good enough for me.

But seriously, XPS seems to hold up best for me. New XPS is very difficult to break off and doesn't seem to splinter as much.

Old florocarbon is terrible for splintering at the knot.

I'm sure it's great. Who's KVD, and they don't have a BPS where I live, do you think Target carries it?

If Target is the best place for tackle in your area you might start buying online.

Good place to start.

I'm assuming the who's KVD part is a joke? If you are into fishing enough to know what floro is, I'm sure you know who KVD is...lol. I've never heard Target and fishing mentioned in the same sentence except one time when my wife said "Honey, when you get back from fishing, I'll be at Target".

Thanks, I'll check it out. I'm going fishing in the morning, I doubt they can over night it. I'll probably just make do with my Braid for now, it was the red power pro. It's a couple- four years old, so now it's actually pink. I need to be better prepared for my trips. Again thanks for your comments.

I'm sure he's someone in the fishing industry... I remember Orlando Wilson from back in the day on TV.

Yeah, his name is Kevin Van Dam. He's the arguably the best bass fisherman of all time.

These are some that I have used and like very much.
Gamma Edge - May be the strongest Fluoro out there. Pricey
Sunline - May be the smallest diameter and limpest out there. Pricey
Trilene 100% - Price and all around may be the best deal. Academy ran a sale a couple of weeks ago for $9.99 a spool. A steal.

Well after work I went to the tackle section at Target and there wasn't any Fluorocarbon at all. I guess I never gave it a thought that Target doesn't have everything when it comes to sports. I did happen across some Vanilla candles for the powder room. I came home and looked online- I ordered some Berkley V2030-15 Vanish Fluoro 30 Lb 2000yd. It should be here in two weeks, they were out and had to special order for me. At $165.00 a spool I hope I end up liking it, with tax and shipping it's getting up there. Luckily, I can fill a lot of reels with it. Nobody seems to have the 30lb. on hand. If you guys like or dislike this brand- chime in and let me know.
and again, thanks in advance for the advice.

You will be OK with the Line you bought although 30 pound is heavy. Just make sure you tie clean knots. Wet it good and check it often.
