Looked at the water level today on us armycorp site. It said the lake was just under three feet low. Is this true and if so what ramps would be open? Caney, big chief, dons port. I know log cabin is good but never launched there. Just wondering about the others.

Don't know if it's true but I heard big chief has changed owners and is open. Don't know about dons port but I would guess fishermans wharf and probably the Caney public ramp are open. Headed down this weekend. I'll look and see

Pretty sure they are all in service now. Only one ramp available on the 334/FM85 bridge.

It ain't easy making it look easy.

Thanks fastguy. Are there still refugees or all the docks good to go?

I used Caney 2 weeks ago to launch a 19ft Bluewave. The channel is narrow but someone dredged the ramp and beach area next to the docks. No issues.

There are still a few docks in channels that are a bit iffy. The lake is still about 3' low.

I launched from Fishermans Warf yesterday - water is at least as high as last winter. No problems and lots of fish!

Big Chief is open and the Bait and Tackle part of it is owned by new people. They have live shad, minnows, goldfish and perch too.

Stop by and tell them hi !

They are having a Crawfish Boil this weekend.
