I am thinking about taking my son fishing to Lake Palestine, is the a public ramp mid-lake that is open or is there any other ramp mid-lake that you would recommend.

Thanks for the info, haven't been on this lake in over a year and just didn't know what ramps are open. How's the bass fishing??

Wind forecast for tomorrow is north at 15-20 right now. Don't be surprised if it's more like 15-25 gusting to over 30 by the time tomorrow gets here. Depending on the size of your boat you might want to consider launching somewhere other than The Villages. There is nowhere to hide from the wind when you come out of the chute and onto the main lake there.

I noticed you said you were taking your son. Don't know how old or how used to rough boat rides he is...

Thanks Razorback, because of the wind we were going to go on Sunday, I hope the wind won't be as high on Sunday. I wanted to fish the Saline area, we have caught some nice fish in the cuts and drains this time of year in that area.
