I grew up fishing the north end of Toledo bend mostly around Tenaha creek and Huxley Bay. To make a long story short, I married a girl from the Timpson - Garrison area and now live there. I've been driving back forth on the weekends from my house to the Huxley area fishing for the last 6 years and have decided to try murvaul to save the drive. I have never fished murvaul and cannot find any maps to show creeks or ledges or anything.
If anybody could help me find some creeks or deep holes or old brush piles or anything where I might catch a few white perch would be greatly appreciated. Or if they are up shallow getting ready for the spawn, where is a good place to start? I'm not expecting anyone to tell me there secret holes just a good place to start. I would even trade you couple of my spots on Toledo bend!!!!!haha. Anything would be great. Thanks in advance!

i caught at least 30 under the bridge last weekend next to the center pilings. most were under sized and some were close to 10 but didnt have my ruler so all got thrown back. but they were caught in about 3 hrs. my dad lives there and has several piles but would kill me if i told. as far as spawning areas the grass would be a good place to start.

Thanks for the info. I'm gonna try it in the morning over by the damn and up jones branch. I'll defiantly hit the bridge before I go home though. I really appreciate it.

Be careful on that run to the bridge from Jones Branch. The boat lane can get confusing

I fish Murvaul a lot. Send a PM and I will see if I can help you out. I live in Timpson and have fished it most of my life.
