Well i did today, i went to seeton creek at lake joe pool today to do some crappie fishin. when i got there, there was a guy in his 60's with his daughter and wife walkin down the trail in front of me i was carring my tube behind them the guy would stop every ten ft to catch his breath finally he got to where he was going to fish he sat down in a cair and casted a minnow out i was 50 yds from him in the water in my tube i hear his wife slaped him and said wake up. well the guy slumped over in the chair and fell to the ground so i paddled over to him he is as blue as a smurf and agonol breathing they helped me out of the water and i checked for a pulse there wasnt one. at this point no one knows cpr except for me im a emt-b i told the wife to call 911 i started cpr and 20 min later fd arrives on scene i helped them hook him up to the monitor he was in v fib "cardiac arrest" a shock was delivered and it converted him back he now has a pulse we put him on a back board and carry him with 6 guys 75yrds through a narrow path in the woods the guy weighs close to 300ibs. they get him loaded and take him to the hospital. the wife comes up to me and gives me a hug and thanks me and said how greatful she was for the help as a single tear rolls down her cheek. made me feel good that i gave the guy a chance at life hope he pulls through. i was talkin to the guy one min and the next he was clincally dead, makes u open ur eyes and realize how fragile we really are.

That's awesome. Good deeds is what this world needs more of.
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

Congrats. to you sir. You did a super awesome job in saving that persons life. Everyone should learn and be able to administer CPR. It's a priceless ability. You did a deed that tops all deeds. You sir, were a God send to his family..

Had a similar thing happen to us on Lake Grapevine several years ago. Looked up and a jet ski was headed right at us and closing fast. Turns out the guy's buddy had fallen off his jet ski and was unresponsive, and his friend came to us for help. We helped get him to shore and administered CPR but he didnt make it. You did a good thing.

You sir, were a God send to his family.. +1 I just got out of the hospital a week ago from Congestive Heart Failure, I am grateful for your being there and knowing what to do for that man. I am very sensitive to that man's situation. God Bless you my friend. Ron
