I'm ordering a Power Pole 10ft Blade Friday and my question is which side do most of you mount it on. Starboard side or Port side. I would like to get two but can only get one for now. What are the pros and cons of which side or is it just personal preference. Thanks for your help.

When I use to only have 1 I would mount it on the STB side. I always run Skeeter and on the port side it has a ladder and it would have been in the way of the ladder.

personal preference. I put mine on starboard side because I felt it better suited my needs. Have a buddy that put his on port side. A lot of the times I find myself fishing off of the port side so that's why I put it on the starboard so it would be more out of the way for the person in the back of the boat.

I just got mine installed today (Martin Pro Outdoors hooked me up) and can't wait to try it out. I put mine on stb side just cause I'm right handed I usually fish down the bank from right to left so I thought it would be on the shallower side if that makes any sense.

Not to highjack the thread but how long did you guys have to wait to get your power pole? I'm going on week 5 waiting on mine. I've been told that the manufacturer is way behind on production. grrr... Thats okay, ill have them by the time the fish are on the beds next spring in 2013.....

I put mine on stbd. side because the anchor light is on that side and the guy on the back has only one area to cast around (avoid). In some cases he can fish with his back to the light and have no obstructions in front of him. Hope that makes sense. You'll never own a boat without a power pole again...you'll love it.
