Will the new Lake master maps work on a 997.
Is it enough difference to justify getting it?
Your opinions

Thanks
Charlie

If you are talking about the Lakemaster card Version-2, the answer is yes it works great on a 997. I am currently using Version-1 in the left slot and Version-2 in the right slot. There is a huge difference in the chips as far as contour lines, ponds are now marked, and they have eliminated some things such as a couple of humps that I spoke to them about that were not as shown on version-1. I now have a lot more confidence in the accuracy of the chip. The 1 foot contours are outstanding. JMHO

Doug, I assumed he was asking if the new version 2 Lakemaster chip would work in the 997. The reason that I run both versions (since I already had Ver. 1) is only to see the difference in waypoint locations in relation to both contour lines---in some situations, there is a huge difference.

Thanks yall
I was wondering if it would run it without slowing it down greatly. From what yall say i think it will be good, going to order it.

Thanks
Charlie

Actually with smaller regions and less total data on the SD Card to read the LakeMaster should read no different or maybe faster than other mapping products. On older non-current models with slower processors. All the current models have fast processors and no issues with them for these super high detailed maps!

Doug, The snapshots have been sent. You can tell by the contour lines which is Version 1 or 2.

Here's another cool feature with LakeMaster the Ability to turn on/off contour lines. Makes it easier to see the Points of Interest Data like structures bouys, road beds etc.

Has anyone used Version 1 and 2 for Falcon lake yet?

I have version 1 and was wondering if it was worth the money to buy version 2 if the only lakes I fish in Texas are Falcon, Fork and Toledo Bend but mostly Falcon.
